Information Collection
We do not collect personally identifiable information about your project participants. We will make every effort to ensure that whatever information you collect will be maintained in a secure environment.
We are authorized to use, store or otherwise process any personal information which relates to and/or identifies you and/or your employees, including but not limited to your name and address or the names and addresses of your employees, to the extent reasonably necessary to provide the services which are available through our web site by us or our sub-contractors. Additionally, we may collect any feedback you provide to PlainFrame, including but not limited to suggestions, observations, and problems regarding the PlainFrame site. All such information collected by us shall be referred to in these terms and conditions as "Personal Information".
PlainFrame.com does not share the content of your project with any parties, and makes every effort to guard against unauthorized access to your study data.
We reserve the right to contact you regarding your account status or any other matter that might affect our service to you and/or our records related to your account.
If you or, where relevant, your employees would like to review or modify any part of the Personal Information which we hold relating to you or your employees then please contact us.
Information Use
PlainFrame collects IP addresses for system administration and record keeping. Your IP address is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the World Wide Web. Our servers record incoming IP addresses in the standard log file format similar to most sites on the internet. The IP addresses are analyzed only in aggregate; no connection is made between you and your computer's IP address. By tracking IP addresses, we can determine which sites refer the most people to PlainFrame.com. (Think of an IP address like your zip code; it tells us in general terms where you're from.)
PlainFrame uses collected information, including Personal Information, for the following general purposes: products and services provision, billing, identification and authentication, services improvement, contact, marketing, and research.
SharedObjects
SharedObjects are a special feature in the Flash Player that enables the login fields to be pre-populated for easier access to your study information. These SharedObjects are purely "local" data objects- they are never tracked nor transferred across the internet, and are only accessible by our domain (other domains using Flash SharedObjects will not be able to access the information saved by PlainFrame.com)
General Security Policy
PlainFrame is aware of your privacy concerns and strives to collect only as much data as is required to make your PlainFrame experience as efficient and satisfying as possible, and we do so in the most unobtrusive manner possible.
Please note that PlainFrame.com does not currently provide SSL encryption for data transmitted to and from our site, except during the purchase of a license.
PlainFrame.com reserves the right to change this policy at any time by notifying users of the existence of a new privacy statement. This statement and the policies outlined herein are not intended to and do not create any contractual or other legal agreements in or on behalf of any party.
